CONFIRMATION this year will be on Friday, June 9th, St Columba’s Day (here at Our Lady Help of Christians). Candidates must be at least 12 years old on June 9th, 2017, and a baptism certificate is required for any child not baptized in our own parish. Preparation will begin with a meeting for PARENTS of candidates on April 5th at 6.00pm in Our Lady Help of Christians. The classes will start on Wednesday, April 19th, and continue every Wednesday (6.00pm – 7.00pm) until the Confirmation itself. Please fill in an application form (available from the Presbytery) and return it – with a copy of the baptism certificate, if applicable - by next Sunday, April 2nd.  
HOLY WEEK & EASTER SERVICES – cards with all the details are now available at the back of the church.  
EAST AFRICA CRISIS APPEAL please note – today’s second collection is for CAFOD’s East Africa Crisis Appeal.  
THE LENT COURSE “Moving to the Margins” continues this week at 12.30pm in OLHoC Parish Hall. A Lent Lunch is included - soup & a roll. This week is session 4 –“Searched Out.” Do come along whenever you can – you don’t have to do every session if you’re not free to do so.  
THE LENT FILMS – Deacon Gehad will be hosting one more film show, followed by discussions, at St Joseph’s Hall on Monday, April 3rd at 7.30pm.  
100 CLUB – The March Draw was won by Ursula Caffarey with number 75. The April Draw will take place on Sunday April 23rd, after the 11.00am Mass.  
STATIONS OF THE CROSS – In Lent we follow the Stations of the Cross on Fridays at 9.15am at Guildhall Street and on Wednesdays at 9.40-ish (after the 9.00am Mass) at Ashley Avenue.  
SINGERS - we continue to practise for the Triduum on Thursdays at 6.00pm in the Parish Hall.  
SVP LENT COLLECTION BOARDS – Please take one of the wooden boards with holes in, from the back of the church, and contribute towards the work of the SVP in our parish - £1 for every week of Lent. It’s almsgiving to support important work.  
THE SUNDAY BIBLE READINGS in Polish, Czech and Slovakian are available at the back of the church.  
EASTER FLOWERS - there will be a second collection for Easter flowers next weekend. Otherwise, you can put a donation in an envelope marked “Easter Flowers,” through the Presbytery letterbox.
