PLEASE PRAY FOR: Alan Lloyd, Amariye, Andy Mark, Anne Harrison, Barrie Pape, Bob Barton, Brian Wright, Brian Tudball, Charlie Jessup-Hastings, Christopher Browne, Ciaran Casey, Colette Bannerman, Conor Dunne, Cynthia Misquita, David Gentry, Fr Edmund Hartley, Elizabeth Tudball, Ernestina Valladares, Harry Wilson, Henry Balkwill, James Begley, Janet & Paul Rynehart, Jean Malloy, M. 100 CLUB – the January draw will take place next Sunday (January 22nd) after the 11.00am Mass.
THE WINTER SHELTER volunteers have another month of late nights, sleeping on camp beds, and very early mornings to endure. But the work they do is good and full of generosity. Please continue to keep Fr Jamie and his team at Guildhall St in your prayers, and remember the other churches, too, and also rough sleepers who for one reason or another don’t or can’t use the Shelter.
FR ED HARTLEY Please keep Fr Ed in your prayers. At the moment his situation is a bit makeshift: we hope that a system can soon be put in place to give him the continuing care that he needs.
JUMBLE (& NEARLY NEW) SALE – Yes, a good old-fashioned Jumble Sale, in OLHoC’s Parish Hall at Guildhall Street on Saturday, February 4th, from 10.30am-12.30pm. Come and avail yourself of the numerous bargains and tell your friends to come and do the same!
WEEK OF PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY January 23rd – 29th. It’s the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity again, and once more we are reminded that while the People of God, constituted and organized as a society in this present world, subsists in the Catholic Church...many elements of sanctification and truth are found outside her structure, and impel towards Catholic unity. (The Dogmatic Constitution on the Church, Lumen Gentium).
Here in Folkestone and Cheriton the daily prayer venues (at 1.00pm during the week) are:

Mon. 23rd – St Andrew’s Methodist, Cheriton
Tues. 24th – Pentecostal Ch., Park Rd Cheriton
Wed. 25th – St Joseph’s, Ashley Ave, Cheriton
Thurs. 26th – SKCC, Millfield, Cheriton Road
Fri. 27th – Holy Trinity Church, Sandgate Rd

AND on SUNDAY, Jan 29th at 6.00pm: UNITED SERVICE at St John’s Church. Speaker: the Bishop of Dover, the Rt Rev’d Trevor Willmott.
